Sweet. Looks like you had a lot more fun than me this weekend. Weird seeing everything still green there, fall is in full swing here, going into the 20's by morning. The woodstove is running round the clock now.
That red Stihl is kinda cool. Any idea what model it was? Never seen one that color before.
What was powering that wood planer?

That's a Stihl BLK 57. It came from Germany. I'm not sure what model John Deere that is running the planer.

With the large array of saws, nice weather, hard not having a good time. Great bunch of older saws, no matter what manufacturer. Did you trade up, sell, or stay the same?

I picked up a very low use Super XL-12, XP1020 parts saw, and of course a couple Super 2's and XL's. I also had a friend come by with a hard-to-find part. 🙂

Gilmer Timing Belt, is it still in business? Looks like it's pliable and in good condition.

They had a chainsaw running the planer?!!! Too cool! All I can see in that pic is a dark shadow around the base.
Wow, this is giving me ideas. I've a 100 year old, 20" bandsaw up in my shed I haven't used in years since; I can't put running heavy power up there higher on the priority list and don't want to shell out for a 3-phase variable frequency drive, at least not yet. The right gear drive saw could solve both of those problems. Maybe even run my 5hp, 80gallon tank compressor that's been idle so long.

Was just looking through some old GTG posts. The guy with the rock crusher looks like a scrap dealer that I know from Parsons.
If this event takes place annually, I definitely want to try to make it this year. Looks like a really good time and I'm only 30 miles away!

The origin of this thread was the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta in Fort Scott, KS. The 2019 dates are October 18-20 so it's 4 week warning time! I've been keeping an eye on this one. Hope I can make it! Their website says that the event actually kicks off with a parade on Thursday the 17th at 6:00pm. www.pioneerharvestfiesta.com
