Hello everybody, new to the forum. I have a Homelite 150 automatic oilier. (I'll post some pictures soon.) I acquired this chainsaw for nothing and just happened to like it and think it was pretty cool. Turns out it runs like a champ too. Having a few minor issues but nothing that everybody hasn't seen on here before i'm sure.

Hi zcowher, welcome.
I just got one of those handed to me the other day. Never touched one before but I got lucky in that it just needed a spark-plug and some TLC to get it running. Compression was about 125 and spark was good. It does not run great and may need a carb kit but I have never taken a 150 apart so who knows what it will be like.
I am sure that if either of us has issues with this saw, someone here will know how to deal with them.

One of the biggest problems with this saw is the automatic oiler. It was a diaphragm arrangement unlike the piston style used on most of the other models of that era. What issues are you having?

I only ran mine for a minute or so, just wanted to know if I should keep it to toss it. It sputtered then caught, then sputtered, throttle helped a little, the it coughed again and died. I think it stopped feeding gas but it did not act like it went lean, just pretty much quit and restarted before stopping altogether. I did not check anything, no adjustments or even to see if the gas line reached the gas in the tank. I did not have time just then to start looking for the trouble so anything is possible. I will put some more gas in it and try again when I get time.
Maybe zcowher will come back with more on his.
