I left the 990D at the paint Store so they could match the green paint. Guess what the closest match was? 1955 Chevy Neptune Green.

OK ... I just painted it ... No primer no nothing ... Just Engine paint (cause we're gonna cut with this baby!) ... Dupli-color Ford Red. Hey Lou, I like the fancy time-lapse avatar pic. How'd you do that? The paint looks real nice, can't wait to see the saw back together. Steve

Thanks Steve ... I used photo shop and overlayed the "before" and "after" pictures. I saved 9 versions of the picture fading out the "after" picture a little more on each successive shot. Then went online to a free gif maker site ... took a little trial and error. The hard part was taking the pictures in the same location and angle!

HOMELITE RED is available from two paint manufacturers that I know of: Dupont formula number 2622A Centari two part Acrylic Enamel Martin Senour formula 10742 Crossfire Enamel. HOMELITE GREEN metallic used for some components on the older saws such as the ECS-C(electric)(all green), 4-20, Mod.17&17L, 7-19C, 7-29, 8-29, 6-63, early BUZ, early 5-30, XL-500, Super 77, 700D, 707G&D, 770G&D,775G&D, XL-870 and XL 875 is Martin Senour formula 10804. I have never been able to locate the true color formula for the HOMELITE BLUE metallic although Darrin (bigdmc.com)suggested PPG Omni AU MBC 13283 Strato Blue Poly. Someone else suggested 1977 Honda Highland Blue but, I have not tried either one of them yet.
