G'day all, yes I'm a Aussie, well I found this old Homelite in the shed the other week, with a bit of work I have got it running but I'm trying to find just how old the girl is the first one is a Blue Super XL S/N AO2877087 the 2nd one a red XL S/N 10003.....51191218, still working on this one, any help would be appreciated please. Hello and welcome!
Your blue SXL was made on Monday October 13th, 1980.
Your red XL was made on Tuesday April 29th, 1975.
Nice couple of saws to own.

G'day again. been offed another saw, Homelite he said it's a 125cc did they make them that big? Peter

Thanks, will let you know how I get on, finding a lot around town, better get some photos up for you have a look at, thanks again. today find were a C51 and another XL12 Pete

Hello and welcome! Your blue SXL was made on Monday October 13th, 1980. Your red XL was made on Tuesday April 29th, 1975. Nice couple of saws to own. I know this is a old post, but the SXL was made on October 14th, 1993. His second digit in his serial# is a O (like oh, the letter) and not a zero (numeral) . Also I believe they made no blue SXL,s in the 80,s but they did in the 90,s. (old blue and the limited edition). at least in the USA.

If he indeed meant to type a letter O, then your right a 1993 model it is. Good catch there Greg.
