Got a little Homelite XL auto. I believe it to be 26 cc or something like that. A bit puzzled. Not frozen up or anything as it pulls and sounds normal with the plug out. If I put the plug back in the saw is almost impossible to pull over. I know this little saw doesn't have that much compression. Any ideas fellas?

It sounds like the cylinder is full of chain oil. Take in look in the top of your oil tank; if you don't see a small duckbill valve on the upper hose, the engine has likely syphoned chain oil into the cylinder and hydro-locked it. You'll probably need to put in new oil hoses, clean out the oil tank to find the tube that the duckbill valve sits on and buy a new valve. The cylinder can be cleaned out by spraying carb cleaner through the spark plug hole and pulling the engine over with the plug out. If someone has worked on the saw recently, the two oil hoses could also be hooked up backwards...that will do the same thing that you are describing as well. Good luck!
