I have a little XL 76 that I purchsed several years ago and which performed flawlessly until the starter rope cover broke. The cast in pin that holds the rewind coild snapped off and I now find myself needing a new starter rope cover. I have been unable to find anything on line or on Ebay so I am wondering if anyone here is familiar with these saws and has an idea as to what other models can be used as a parts donor. I understand that the xl 76 is a Canadian built saw so this limits my options but there has to be another model that shares this part. The saw is red in colour with "Homelite" in raised letters right behind the bulge in the cover that houses the starter rope. ANY help will be appreciated. Thank you and Happy New Year to all.
