I found some rings with a different number. 67668.
its the same as the 64968. my 2000 and 2100s IPL's use the 64968. But I found a bag with the 67668 and they are a match.

Thanks for your efforts. FYI, The 330 has two sets of rings. The thick set is part #93823 and the thin set is part #96510 (also UP07441). Sorry for the late response but I've had huge problems logging into this site

Greetings, to my knowledge as a homeowner type of user/repairer...what I've found is this.
It appears the older 330's like the one my dad bought in the 1970's used a thick ring of about 0.046 inch thick. Apparently, later years Homelite may have changed to a thin ring of about 0.025 inch (about).
I looked up some part numbers and for my 330 that has a number (I assume a production number) of #10608. The parts diagrams for this saw showed part #96510 and the UP 07441. I ordered a new old stock still in original package for 96510 and surprise it was the thin ring of 0.02 inch.
I then dug around on ebay and fortunately, a guy had noted that the thicker ring of 0.045 inch was part number piston ring # 93823. so I searched this part number and sure enough I found several listed as the correct thickness of 0.045 inch. I've never seen this part number of 93823 in a parts diagram...yet...I must have a wrong parts diagram or something.
lessoned learned: the parts diagrams must have been for newer saws despite having the correct model 330 and #10608 listed....OR, they superseded the thick rings with the thin rings for some reason. The question I have if this is the case...the thin ring will move a lot in the land groove of the piston.
