Horsepower - how is it computed? I had a Force outboard several years ago and it had two ratings. They advertised it to be 125HP and that is what was stenciled on the cover but on the manufactures tag it said it was 88 HP based on a different parameter. Acres has: ENGINE DISPLACEMENT: 6.8 cu. in. (112 cc) NUMBER OF CYLINDERS: 1 CYLINDER BORE: 2.25 in. (57.1 mm) PISTON STROKE: 1.720 in. (43.7 mm) CYLINDER TYPE: Aluminum with chrome plated bore INTAKE METHOD: Piston ported MANUFACTURER ADVERTISED H.P.: 6.95 SAE @ 8,000 RPM It seems strange Homelite would take the HP rating at 8000 when the saw runs a much higher RPM.
