Nice work Aaron! I saw the "before" picture in your file, wow, what a transformation!
Now you need a blue sxlao to go with the blue xl12, then a red xl12 to go with the blue xl12, then a red . . . ;D

The blue I got from my local auto value store. It is "honda highland blue" ppg paint in a rattle can. They had it mixed up for me in a day and only cost like 10 bucks. Turned out good.

Beautiful restore job, Aaron. I've been thinking about restoring my personal Ol' Blue, if I can ever find another saw that will do the work with that level of dependability! Right now, all the other saws I own are in play, but Ol' Blue is the money-maker, the one that ALWAYS starts, ALWAYS cuts, ALWAYS idles, ALWAYS is ready to work. It's the closest thing to zero-maintenance I've ever seen in a two-cycle implement.
Out of curiosity (I'm no painter), how did you do the ridges on the airbox cover? That is, how did you get the white where it needed to be, and not everywhere else?

Only the raised design gets white or you can paint it with a fine brush
